Big Blue Nation invaded South Carolina yesterday, and it was great! Patrick and his girlfriend Jessica came down for the game and we had lunch with them. Then, Adam and Sarah were also in town and Adam knew which bar the UK Alumni Association was meeting at for drinks before the game. There was so much blue roaming around downtown Columbia, it felt just like home! Random Wildcat fans were chanting "C-A-T-S" and high fiving us. The only harassment any of us got for wearing blue wasn't even from South Carolina fans but from a drunk Louisville fan who was a jerk to both me and Adam (on separate occasions). Typical. Luckily Sarah had my back and she gave him a subtle shove when she saw him leaning in to talk trash to me. When Kentucky won it made the day even better. We may be official South Carolina residents now, but we will always be Kentucky fans!
