Newest Cutie

Our circle of friends recently welcomed a new addition to the group, and today we got a chance to visit her.  Meet sweet Laing Mae:

Strapped in and ready for adventure

Age: 1 month and 1 day old

Likes: naps, scrunching up her face, snuggling, grunting

Dislikes: when the stroller stops moving, being burped

Hobbies: throwing her fist up in victory after a successful nap, seeing how far she can spit her pacifier

Accomplishments in her young life: great full head of hair, biggest baby born in 2011 at her mom's doctor's office (11 lbs 3 oz)

Goals: To visit SC and go to the beach with her Uncle Matt and Aunt Jen in 2012 (ok, maybe this is my goal not hers)

Snacktime

As expected, Adam and Sarah are great parents, complete naturals adapting to life with a little one with ease.  They actually seemed rested, were laid back not frazzled, and are of course very happy as a new family.

It was a beautiful day in Charlotte, it felt like early fall instead of mid December, so we walked around downtown to get some lunch and sit at a park in the sunshine to enjoy it.

Laing slept through most of the tour through the festive decorations downtown, she even slept through the delicious smells of fresh baked bread at her first visit to Jimmy John's.

Someday Laing, we will tell you stories about your daddy in college, and I'm sure you'll be embarassed and roll your pretty brown eyes.  I'm glad we were able to sneak in a visit before Christmas because it's about to be another very busy week for us!
