My last week at the Plast

It's my last week at work. It's strange. Montaplast was the first place I worked after graduating from college. In the past five years I've bounced around several positions, learned a lot, and met some great people. Of course there were days I grumbled about corporate policies, inept coworkers, and tedious processes; but overall my time there was enjoyable or else I would not have stayed as long as I did.

Here's my desk where I would sit and longingly look out the window at the interstate when things were boring:

My chair is the green one, and up until recently this whole side of the office was mine but then they brought in the other computer next to me so I could train my replacement. Three of our four walls are glass so it is a bit like being in a fishbowl.

I will not miss the work, my days were becoming too predictable and mindless. I'm ready for a new job and to be challenged again, forced to think and find ways to improve a process. Thanks to my time at Montaplast I will hopefully have the experience-filled resume it takes to find a great new job in South Carolina.
