Baby Bitters

Sweet baby Laing will be here very soon (maybe even this month!) which meant it was time to party and drive up to Charlotte for a shower for mommy-to-be Sarah!

Laing will be the cutest thing around in all the adorable outfits she got today, including a bedazzled Kentucky onesie from her Aunt Jen and Uncle Matt:

Everyone loved this teddy bear that came with Eric Carle's book Brown Bear, a classic in my opinion.

After the shower we met back up with the boys who had spent the afternoon playing disc golf, watching football, and eating pizza... just like when they used to live together.  We even had time to squeeze in an intense game of cornhole on Adam's new UK boards.  Here's Sarah watching her beanbag sail to victory:

Let's just say we discovered very quickly that this is not my sport.  Although there was mad cheering when I somehow managed to land my beanbag on top of the door where it stayed perfectly perched and very far away from my intended target:

In the end it was team Bitters -21, team Wheeler - well, less than 21.  I should add that any points we did have were not earned by me.

I can't wait for that phone call in the coming weeks to let us know that it's time for another visit, to meet baby Bitters!!!
