We love a good weekend day trip destination. Last Saturday we went to Asheville, North Carolina and had a great time. Our dear friends the Crawford family were vacationing at the gorgeous, giant Grove Park Inn and it was the perfect reason to make the short two hour journey north.

After lunch we played a leisurely round of miniature golf. Luke and Caroline napped in their strollers, but Kate and Ellie were intent on mastering the course.

After miniature golf there was still time for a visit to a playground and ice cream for everyone. We all agreed Asheville might be more fun to explore without kids in tow, but at this current stage in life, family days are what we are all about and it was wonderful to see our friends again.
This past weekend we stayed around the house, enjoying the sunny days with low humidity and relaxing on the patio.

Our weekdays are busy, our nights are noisy, but our weekends are so very sweet right now.

I'm rereading this for the 3rd or 4th time. I laugh each time especially at Luke's first solid food picture. He is indeed a love and Kate too adorable for words.
