Dress Up

 

We did not do any traditional trick or treating this year for Halloween, but we did still dress up to do a drive thru Trunk or Treat event.  Luke used his mask as inspiration for his choice of Cheetah for his costume, and Kate went the classic route of Midnight Witch.

The kids had some other fun dress up opportunities this month at school too.  Luke's class had "Community Helper Day" and while most kids went as veterinarians, firemen, or police... Luke choose to be a Life Guard and help his community by saving lives.  In his words, "If there's a shark, or if someone can't swim, yep, I help them."

Then last week was Book Character Dress Up day.  Luke choose to go as the Manager Mouse from one of his favorites, Hotel Bruce.

Kate, has been tearing through the Magic Treehouse series and went as Annie, the main character who travels to all kinds of times in her magic treehouse that Kate drew herself as a backdrop prop to her costume.

Even without costumes, these kids have wild imaginations and I love listening to them play together and create new characters and stories, it's never boring at our house!
