We had a low key birthday party on Saturday to celebrate Kate's third birthday. Just some coffee, donuts, cupcakes and a make your own snack mix station (Kate's favorite thing to do for a daily snack so we knew we had to incorporate it in her party spread). It rained on Friday and the backyard was still soggy Saturday, but the sun was out in the front yard in the morning, the weather was warm, and we moved the party to the underused front of the house instead. Nine kiddos, one set of grandparents, and some of our favorite friends we've made since moving to South Carolina helped us honor the birthday girl.

I didn't want to deal with the hassle of throwing a toddler's birthday party, but this ended up being a very laid back and low stress event that it seemed like everyone enjoyed. Kate was thrilled and that's what it's all about, making our sweetheart feel loved and special and I know she did.
It was a fantastic party. So glad we were there to help celebrate Kate's 3rd birthday!
