14 months

Yesterday this handsome fellow turned 14 months old!

  

January was not his best month, lots of new teeth and nasal congestion meant horrible, horrible nights at our house.  However there were some exciting moments for Luke last month too, like becoming a COUSIN and getting his first haircut.

Hannah Grace Summers was born on January 7th and we all love her so much already even though we haven't had a chance to meet her yet.  A lot of days she wears Kate's hand me downs, but since this is a post all about Luke I thought I'd showcase the time she adorably wore one of his hand me downs:

I didn't manage to get an official penguin picture yesterday, but the latest news concerning the penguin is that he has been promoted.  He is no longer just a photo prop, he is now a snuggly crib companion!  Luke tucks him under his arm at night and it's the sweetest thing ever.

He is not walking yet, but can stand unassisted for a few seconds at a time.  On Saturday he got his first haircut and now he looks super spiffy:

He didn't cry and sat still for most of it.  During the day he is such a sweet and playful little guy.  He has started blowing kisses in response to us doing it and says and waves "bye bye" to all his friends at school every afternoon.  I'm down to nursing him only at nighttime and he is looking less and less like a baby and more like a little boy with each day that passes.  Part of me is sad that last year flew by so fast and he's quickly approaching toddler status, but I'm also excited about the next chapter.
