11 Months

Time is moving way too fast.  This is the last monthly update before I can reference my child's age in years instead of months!

Eleven month old Luke is a squirmy, hungry, happy mess.  He frequently comes home from school with bumps and bruises from his daredevil adventures and doesn't seem to mind crashing into things or crawling over a pile of blocks if it gets him where we wants to go.  Luke is so active that he was promoted to the next room at the daycare with the walkers even though he isn't walking yet.  He was too mobile to be around the babies in the infant room.  His transition to the new room has gone well, the only downside is that he now gets only one nap a day and we basically have to start on our bedtime routine the moment we come home if we're going to get him down before our super tired little man goes completely berserk.

Dislikes:  laying still for diaper changes (they have become impossible), shoes on his feet, staying put in one place for more than two seconds, mosquitoes- bites on him swell up like crazy, getting buckled in his car seat, and people eating in front of him without sharing

I haven't mentioned his blocked tear duct in a few months, because it has cleared up!  There is thankfully no more goop in those gorgeous blue eyes and we didn't have to intervene medically to fix it.

Likes: his swing, his sister, singing, snacking, banging things together, baths, speed crawling, and climbing all over his family

He has stolen my heart
Milestones:  Luke is getting very vocal with lots of variations and new sounds in his adorable baby talk babble.  He can say Mama, Dada, Baba (bottle), and a few times I swear he tried to say Kate, it sounded like, "AAAhhte!"  He can pull himself up and stand unassisted for very brief moments.

From enemies to besties sharing secrets and a peck on the cheek

Every month is more fun as his laid back and hilarious personality is becoming more apparent.  His official days of babyhood are numbered and I'm determined to enjoy every single one of them with this sweet boy.
