For My Daddy
A poem by Katherine Wheeler (as communicated to her Mama via babbles and coos)
Dad! Dad! He played tag with me in the womb,
Painted and put together my room.
He held my hand on my first day,
Followed me to the nursery when they took me away.
Took care of weak, tired, moody Mommy when I was new,
Patient and helpful, he always knew what to do.
Tickle fights, piggy backs, or splashes in the tub...
When it comes to playing with Daddy there's so much to love.
I babble and grin at him from the changing pad,
I'm his little Snuglet and he's my awesome Dad.
Happy first Father's Day, Matt!
Happy first Father's Day, Matt!
