Now it's time to enjoy the bounty of my herb harvest. First up, homemade pizza Margherita!
By "homemade" I just mean that I used my own oven and did not call Papa John's. I did enlist the expertise and convenience of one adorable Pillsbury doughboy when it came to the delicious crispy crust.
We used the thin crust and then added some olive oil, sliced fresh mozzarella, juicy ripe tomato slices, and of course a handful of my home grown basil. It was like a caprese salad on a pizza and it was a big hit. Between the two of us we consumed the entire pizza you see picture above. In our defense, the crust was really thin so it didn't feel filling at all, it was the perfect quick summery dinner and we'll definitely be making it again soon.
