Congaree

Today we took the kids to the Congaree National Forest, it's less than an hour from our house, but feels like a completely different world.  The weather was perfect, it is the best time of year to tour this swampland without breaking a sweat or getting a mosquito bite.  The kids kept up on most of the 2.4 mile boardwalk loop, fascinated by the unusual trees, roots, and water.  They were also always very excited about snack and water breaks.  It was a great way to spend the morning, here are some more pictures from our adventures.

Hydration break, Matt's Camelback was a big hit

Kate is shocked that the tree is in the middle of the bridge

We feel so tiny

So serious about having fun

Snacks might be the reason we hike

The aftermath- worn out

Trunk snacks before heading back home
