We love exploring new places around our state, and a gorgeous summer Saturday with no plans was a perfect opportunity to check another tourist destination off our list- Magnolia Plantation. The pictures speak for themselves- beautiful scenery, wide open spaces for a rambunctious toddler to roam, shady Spanish moss for a chubby baby to nap under, cool breezes along the Ashley river, paths to discover, and a fun day spent together as a family.
Kate was ready for adventure, running ahead to see where the winding garden paths would lead, but luckily she slowed down enough for us to get a good grip on her when we crossed swampy waters.
Picking up pebbles and tossing them into the water quickly became one of Kate's favorite activities, she loved waiting for the splash.
We could have spent hours strolling through all the different gardens, the plantation grounds were huge!
One of the coolest parts was a bamboo garden, it suddenly felt like we were in a different world:
Bonus points if you can spot me!
Bonus points if you can spot Kate, she just ran across the field shouting "Ga-ZE-bo!"
Centuries later, still a good looking house
