Weekly Recap

It was a busy, but really fun, week last week.  In between the usual work and school craziness there was also Mother's Day, Kate's first dance recital, the first dentist visit for the kids, a minor league baseball game with Matt's coworkers, Matt's birthday, and a day trip to the beach for some relaxation to finish it all off!  Here is the photo dump from my phone of all the sweet memories:

Kate was shy at first at the dentist, but warmed up quickly and ended up being an excellent, curious patient.  Luke did not enjoy the experience and ended up leaving with fluoride in his hair from thrashing around so much during the cleaning.

She always looks at him like that, especially when there is cake involved

Saturday evening we were sitting around talking about our plans for Sunday when Matt mentioned going to the beach.  I jumped at the suggestion and our impromptu family getaway days always end up being some of my favorite days of the year.  The weather was perfect, I didn't even break a sweat on the beach and the water was warm.  The kids were in heaven rolling around in the surf and digging in the sand.

We left behind our stress and brought back a van full of sand, tired babies, and great memories of a perfect day spent on Sullivan's Island together.  Bring on the next week!

  1. My heart just melts when I see these adorable babies. Y'all have such fun and it makes me so happy. I know a couple of folks up in KY that are really looking forward to spending some time with all of you. Give out some hugs for me.
