What a treat! We love grandparents. We love visitors. We love family filled weekend adventures. And we got to have back to back weekends of both! After Matt's parents were here, my parents came this past weekend to celebrate my Dad's birthday with us. For his birthday, he got to be a kid again- riding the carousel at the zoo, and also do something he'd never done before- feeding a giraffe. I think it was a good way to spend a birthday, doing something old and something new.

Friday afternoon we were in shorts outside, Saturday was gorgeous but much cooler, and then Sunday we woke up to snow! What a crazy week of weather. The snow barely stuck to anything and was gone a few hours later, but it was the perfect excuse for a lazy Sunday. We turned on the fireplace, watched basketball, cooked chili, and let the kids run wild inside the house. Now that we had a day of winter, I'm ready for spring to come back and to roll out the welcome mat to whoever wants to visit us next!
