It was an unusual holiday season, but still a happy time to celebrate the things that were wonderful about 2020- like our health and extra time together. Here are some of our memories from the Christmas break:
Of course Claudia and her family were missing from the usual Mack-mas fun, they did attend virtually and we were all able to open gifts "together." What a blessing technology has been this year to keep us all connected! Oma won Christmas this year by knitting the kids Gryffindor scarves, Luke loved his so much that he slept with it beside him on Christmas Eve and then wore it Christmas morning as well.
We spent the rest of the break being lazy and trying to spend time outside whenever we could.
| Hiking into a new year |
It was in many ways the most uncertain and strange year of my life, but when I look back at the pictures of all the outdoor adventures- the camping, hiking, backpacking, exploring, and grandparent time we had in 2020 it really was a good year. I know not everyone can say that, and my hope is that better days are ahead for all those who struggled through 2020. May 2021 bring back chances to hug those we haven't lately!
