| Happy Fourth of July from these two cool cuties |
We have traveled every fourth of July since Kate was born:
 |
| 2013 - Rainy trip to Northern Kentucky |
 |
| 2014 - Cool trip to Lexington, Kentucky |
 |
| 2015 - Fun trip to Western Kentucky |
 |
| 2016 - Perfect trip to Northern Kentucky |
 |
| 2017 - Party weekend in Oak Ridge, Tennessee |
There are two themes very apparent in our travels- one is that we wear a lot of red, white, and blue on this holiday, and the second is that we love to see our families. This weekend was extra special because we had all the grandparents in one place, a rare occurrence!
My parents, Claudia, and Hannah came down for the day Monday- you can read the recap on the much fancier, more professional looking blog:
Winter Baby Summers.
By the time my family came to visit on Monday, we had already packed in a whole weekend of fun at the Wheeler's with things like a date night downtown Knoxville, a trip to the local giant pool (lovingly referred to by Kate as the "monster pool"), backyard excitement with a slip n' slide, and frequent fish feedings on the back deck.

| Fish friend |
As always, it was well worth the time in the car to have such another fun family weekend of memories spent together. Happy birthday, America!
Love the flashback pictures. Kate has changed so much, she has grown up and is still the most adorable gal ever. So glad that we could be together and that your family could come down to visit.
